MOHR Engineering, working in conjunction with one
of its major customers, has been awarded and is approved to provide components
used to support upcoming battery powered vehicle production. These parts are an
integral part of the power system of this vehicle and are keeping jobs here in
the USA and MICHIGAN!!!
MOHR HELPING TO KEEP HYBRIDS WIRED:
MOHR Engineering has worked to provide solutions
for the wiring systems, high
voltage covers and connectors
and
battery venting
requirements needed for the complex hybrid vehicle battery system. The
manufacturing expertise at MOHR, along with a multi-company collaborative
engineering effort, has assisted the complex battery system used in the hybrid
vehicle production to pass the extensive government and OEM safety and
reliability testing requirements. The
flexible wire harness components produced at MOHR insure
that the battery assembly operates correctly in the harshest environments to
insure the US is moving toward energy independence.
KEEPING LANDFILLS EMPTY
Last year MOHR Engineering recycled 25,000 pounds of plastic
material to insure that these materials were used in part production rather than
filling up landfills. It is very important to MOHR Engineering management to be
an environmentally friendly company. It helps that our raw materials can be
recycled to allow our footprint to be as green as possible.
MOHR
HAS SEEN THE LIGHT
With the installation of
high-intensity fluorescent compact modular™ fixtures installed in the
production area of our plant. MOHR will enjoy an energy savings of approximately
$4585 annually. It will drastically decrease our environmental footprint.
The
switch to these lights equates to
saving 7 acres of
trees, removing 7 cars from the road, or reducing oil demand by 80 barrels
annually. These lights have also provided a much brighter work environment for
our team members on the production floor.
